Ingredients

  • 1 can salmon, drained and flaked

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or panko

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 green onion, chopped

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix together salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onion, and red pepper flakes.
  • Shape into 4 patties and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy.
  • Drain on a paper towel and serve.

Notes

  • Serve with spicy sriracha mayo and a side of sesame slaw or steamed jasmine rice.
