Caramelized Onion & Sage Puff Pastry Twists

Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chopped fresh sage
1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Sauté onion in olive oil until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
- Roll out puff pastry, spread with onions, sage, and cheese if using.
- Cut into strips, twist each one, and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
