Ingredients
4 Italian sausage links (mild or hot), sliced into rounds
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
½ yellow onion, sliced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced sausage and cook until browned and heated through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté peppers and onions until soft and caramelized, 7–9 minutes.
- Return sausage to the pan, stir in Italian seasoning, and cook another 1–2 minutes.
- Serve hot as is or over cauliflower rice.
