Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef

  • 1 small head green cabbage, shredded

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)

  • ½ cup coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Optional: sesame seeds or green onions for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion and ginger until beef is browned.
  • Stir in cabbage and cook for 5–7 minutes, until it begins to soften.
  • Add coconut milk, coconut aminos, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes to combine.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Top evenly with shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly with golden melted cheese.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
