Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Juice of 1 lemon (approximately 2 tablespoons)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and place them in the air fryer basket. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Cook the chicken for 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Consistency: To ensure consistent results, measure the lemon juice to approximately 2 tablespoons.
- Cooking Check: Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
