  • 2 pounds beef stew meat

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 medium onion

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 ounces cream cheese

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 8 ounces mushrooms

  • 1 package egg noodles

Directions

  • Begin by chopping the onion and slicing the mushrooms. Set your slow cooker on a low setting.
  • Add the beef stew meat to the slow cooker. Ensure all pieces are spread evenly at the bottom.
  • Combine the beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Mix well until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker. Stir in the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms.
  • Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours or until beef is tender. Stir occasionally as needed.
  • About 15 minutes before serving, cook egg noodles as per package instructions until al dente.
  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and flour. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker.
  • Stir well and allow to cook for another 15 minutes to thicken. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the beef stroganoff over the prepared egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
