Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey or pork

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded

  • 2 carrots, julienned

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional)

  • Green onions for garnish

Directions

  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground pork or turkey, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Once the meat is browned, add garlic, ginger, and onion, cooking until fragrant.
  • Stir in cabbage and carrots, cooking until the vegetables begin to soften.
  • Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce (if using). Stir well to combine.
  • Serve in bowls with a sprinkle of green onions on top.
