Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
¼ cup melted butter
4 chicken hot dogs, sliced into 1-inch pieces

Directions
- Preheat Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron and coat it lightly with cooking spray.
- Mix Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
- Assemble Waffles: Pour a small amount of batter into the preheated waffle iron. Place a few chicken dog pieces on top of the batter, then cover with more batter.
- Cook: Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and set.
