Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
½ cup diced onion
1 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp mustard
½ tsp garlic powder
12 Hawaiian rolls
1 tbsp melted butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken and onions until the chicken is fully cooked and the onions are softened. Drain any excess liquid.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and garlic powder. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Spoon the chicken Sloppy Joe mixture over the rolls and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Top with the other half of the rolls, brush with melted butter, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
