Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • ½ cup diced onion

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp mustard

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken and onions until the chicken is fully cooked and the onions are softened. Drain any excess liquid.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and garlic powder. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  • Spoon the chicken Sloppy Joe mixture over the rolls and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
