Ingredients
1 can pink or red salmon, drained and flaked
½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Directions
- Prepare the salmon – Drain the canned salmon and remove any large bones if desired (they are edible and full of calcium). Flake the salmon into a bowl.
- Mix the ingredients – Add breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and all seasonings. Stir until well combined.
- Shape the patties – Form the mixture into 6–8 patties, about ½-inch thick.
- Cook – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve – Enjoy warm with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or over a simple salad.
