Ingredients

  • 1 large boneless, skinless chicken breast (about 8 ounces)

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Chicken Alfredo might not be the first thing you think to make in a slow cooker, but this version proves it absolutely works. It’s creamy, rich, and full of flavor — and it couldn’t be easier.

This small-batch recipe makes just enough for two, so it’s perfect for date night, solo leftovers, or a cozy dinner that won’t leave you drowning in dishes.

The chicken cooks low and slow in a mixture of cream, butter, Parmesan, and garlic, soaking up all that flavor. Peas go in toward the end for a bit of sweetness and a pop of color, and fresh parsley brings it all together at the finish.

Once the chicken is tender, you shred it into the sauce and serve it over pasta. It’s a full-on comfort meal without much effort.

This is also a great recipe if you’re looking to skip the jarred Alfredo sauce. You get something fresher, silkier, and far more flavorful — and it still comes together with minimal prep.

Make It a Meal

To round it out:

  • Garlic bread – always a classic with Alfredo
  • Side salad – something crisp with a tangy vinaigrette to cut through the creaminess
  • A glass of white wine or sparkling water with lemon – keeps things light and refreshing

Feel free to use fettuccine, penne, or whatever pasta you love — it all works.
