Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs thin-sliced steak (like ribeye) or 80/20 ground beef

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup shredded provolone

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (for creaminess)

  • Salt and pepper

  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook steak or ground beef with peppers, onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until the beef is cooked and veggies are tender. Retain some of the cooking juices before draining excess fat.
  • Mix in half of the provolone and Monterey Jack cheese with the beef mixture for better integration and moisture.
  • Spread the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and just starting to brown.
  • Garnish with parsley if using.
