Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ cup diced onion

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp mustard

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onions until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, and garlic powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place bottoms in a baking dish.
  • Spoon Sloppy Joe mixture over rolls and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Place top buns on, brush with melted butter, and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Serve warm!
